Custom Soldering and Inspection Classes
2 soldering classes and 2 inspection classes.
For some companies, their customers require official IPC certifications. For other customers, just the core skills are desired. Choose the one that is best for you!
1. "J-STD-001" an IPC class, 5-day soldering course. It summarizes workmanship standards, then the students perform a series of soldering projects, simple to advanced. Following successful completion of all hands-on projects and written tests, the student receives an internationally recognized IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
2. "STM Soldering Workshop" an STM class, a 1-day class that STM offers to help instruct students on proper techniques for successful soldering, blending information about traditional and the new Lead-free solder. This one day class is available at a group rate. Students recieve a STM Soldering Certificate.
3. "IPC-A-610" an IPC class, 4 day inspection class, excellent for inspectors and assemblers. STM is an authorized IPC training center. IPC is the trade organization that generates the internationally recognized IPC-A-610 book of workmanship standards. This course enables students to become officially certified in IPC-A-610. The 400 page 610 book is explained in detail, and students who are able to use it effectively and pass the written tests, receive an IPC-A-610 Certification.
4. "STM Inspection Workshop" a STM class, 1 day inpsection class. If the full IPC-A-610 certification (see above) is not required, we can also offer you this is a summarized version of workmanship standards. This one day class is available at a group rate. Students recieve an STM Inspector's Certificate. Inpsection standard books (IPC-A-610) are available for an additional charge.
